browser-plugin-vlc software package provides multimedia plugin for web browsers based on VLC, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install browser-plugin-vlc
browser-plugin-vlc is installed in your system.
Make ensure the browser-plugin-vlc package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep browser-plugin-vlc *
You will get with browser-plugin-vlc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
